Hey Jenna great list of local opportunities! I too wrote about the legal problems Omar Oselimo is currently facing. I found this very interesting because Omar Oselimo does not feel pressured about his legal problems as he has stated that his businesses are doing well and will be able to eventually pay off his debts. No matter if his businesses are doing well he needs to pay back the lenders who helped him start and keep running his business.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenna, I like your list of local opportunities. I had no clue that hunger in Alachua county was the big of an issue. I believe there is a real opportunity to somehow help people get to the grocery store. There could maybe be a grocery service that helps get disabled people and individuals without transportation food to their household. I also agree with the other article about E-Cigarettes such as Juul becoming a problem among teens. If the FDA and other companies don’t act fast then it will end up doing a lot of harm.
ReplyDeleteJenna,
ReplyDeleteI was also aware of the FDA situation regarding e-cigarettes. I have julled before but I never thought it was going to be this bad. I have friends in the city I lived before Gainesville, and they tell me that even middle schoolers under 18 years old are using them. Like literally there is one kid that sels them in school and I just feel its not ok for them to do it since their organs are not fully developed.
